The Jordanian school for space sciences is a recurring program run by Astrojo, in association with the Harvard Smithsonian observatory.

The Jordanian school for space sciences-I covered the basic concepts of detecting exoplanets using the transit method with an introduction to astronomy and astrophysics, in addition to a workshop that let the participants analyze the data of detecting an exoplanet. The lecturers were Dr. Roger, Dr. Szentgyorgyi, Dr. Brickhouse, and Dr. Azzam in addition to AstroJo’s members.

The Jordanian school for space sciences II covered the principles of photometry and spectroscopy of binary systems in a series of lectures by a specialized group of doctors (Dr. Szentgyorgyi, Dr. Tennyson, Dr. Lahav and Dr. Azzam), in addition to a hands-on training on the basis of detecting and analyzing photometric data.
